Concrete Block Walls & Structures

Structural Building Blocks

DRYCO specializes in building concrete block walls, which are typically used for constructing small buildings, standalone walls, and retaining walls. These structures are built using concrete masonry units, also known as concrete blocks, cement blocks or foundation blocks, which are large rectangular bricks made from cast concrete. High density blocks are constructed of sand and fine gravel aggregate, while lower density blocks may be produced by using cinders as an aggregate, and are known as cinder blocks, breeze blocks or clinker blocks. Concrete blocks that do not contain cinders are often mistakenly called cinder or breeze blocks in everyday speech. Lightweight blocks can also be produced using aerated concrete.

Concrete block is cost-effective for building smaller curb walls, planter walls, and trash enclosures, and DRYCO's years of experience working with this material ensures that jobs go quickly and smoothly with a top-quality end product. Because most people find the appearance of concrete block to be drab and unattractive, exposed surfaces are generally given a decorative finish of stucco, brick, paint, stone, or siding. DRYCO can complete the job with any finish that you choose, so that when we leave the jobsite you have a finished product you can be proud of.
