DRYCO has been working with the Good Tidings foundation for nearly 25 years, completing more than fifty projects. We are pleased to announce that DRYCO’s owner, Daren R. Young, was the winner of the prestigious Nate Thurmond Award!
Good Tidings Foundation recently celebrated their 24th year spreading the holiday cheer for those in need. They have completed about 200 projects for youth, gifted tens of thousands of toys, and granted over 1.6 million dollars in education scholarships. Through providing new basketball courts, hockey arenas, and access to music studios, Good Tidings Foundation provides opportunities to our community youth they never thought possible.
The Nate Thurmond Award is Good Tidings’ distinguished award given annually to someone that truly embodies what Nate Thurmond was all about; Dignity and Class. NBA Hall of Famer Nate Thurmond became the official spokesperson in 1999 when Good Tidings built a basketball court in San Francisco in his name. Nate lived his life with the utmost dignity and class and truly embodies what Good Tidings is all about. The medal is designed and minted by the Northwest Territorial Mint, famous for their Pulitzer Prize, the Peabody Award, and Presidential Inauguration Medal.
Congratulations Daren, we are so proud of your commitment to serving the community!
