This past weekend DRYCO had the opportunity to help support our local community, by teaming up with IFMA and Rebuilding Together. DRYCO was busy helping out all over the campus. We split into two groups, a cleaning group and a carpeting group. In total we had over 150 volunteers show up including students, teachers, IFMA members and other sponsoring organizations. In all we moved furniture, installed carpet tile, cleaned, landscapeed & weeded, painted and performed other repairs and improvements to the facility.
During lunch we were greeted by Sourdough Sam and two members of the 49ers cheerleading squad, as well as music performed by the students. It was great to be able to take a break and get out of the hot sun. After lunch was over everyone got back to work and was double timing it, there was still a lot that needed to get done and time was running out.
By the end of the afternoon DRYCO had cleaned the walls of almost every building inside and out and helped install new carpet for 3 classrooms. Overall it was a great afternoon and everyone walked away knowing a little bit more about the proper way to lay a 90 degree pattern wheather they liked it or not.
