Over the years, the integrity of asphalt pavement may decrease due to heat, traffic, and water. All these three causes are inevitable but experts are suggesting proper pavement preservation to solve this road problem. In as early as the seventh year, roads are advised to undergo this treatment. Slurry seal is done to improve the pavement’s quality and, more importantly, save funds in doing full road rehabilitation.
Based on the recent article from the Department of Public Works in Los Angeles County, slurry seal is one of the most performed methods as it helps seal the cracks and restore flexibility on the surface. They write, “Slurry seal applications serve to seal the cracks, restore lost flexibility to the pavement surface, provide a deep, rich black pavement surface color, and help preserve the underlying pavement structure.”
DRYCO now offers slurry seal application as an option to our customers. Get in touch with us to see if slurry seal is a fit for your next project.
