Full Depth Rehabilitation (or FDR) is used when the pavement gets old and loses its flexibility, the maintenance required becomes more frequent and less effective. The majority of failures is due to saturation. The old process what simply to remove the old pavement and replace it. FDR is a new process that recycles the pavement, including the base and sub-grade to create a structurally sound base impermeable to water, with a 20-30 year lifespan.
