Project Description
The Hilton Hotel in Santa Clara, California, needed a new parking lot and called in the DRYCO team for the job. This project utilized our asphalt removal and replacement services, along with our sealcoating and restriping services.
Asphalt Removal and Replacement
The first thing we had to do was grind out and remove 27,690 sq ft of failed pavement from nine major areas. Once those were removed, we hauled off and disposed of the debris.
From there, the DRYCO team had to excavate and recompact the subbase, which we then placed compact 4″ of new hot-mix asphalt paving in two separate lifts. We cleaned the pavement surface using power blowers once it was installed.
Sealcoating
With our sealcoating services, we sealed cracks of 1/4″ and larger using Duro-Flex hot applied crack filler. We treated oil spots with Polyoil sealant.
From there, the team applied a two-coat application of Western Colloid #327 seal coat emulsion over the entire surface — a total of 82,620 sq ft. We finished the sealcoating off with a squeegee and sprayed a second layer of sealcoat for optimum coverage.
Restriping Services
The finishing touches in the Hilton’s parking lot were restriping existing pavement markers, including parking stalls, directional arrows, ADA symbols, and all painted curbs.
