Throughout the country, many offices and businesses are still encouraging their employees to work remotely from home. And, this has caused many fast-casual restaurants that were designed to have office workers come in on their lunch breaks to have to find new ways to bring customers in the door. No one knows what the long-term implications of the coronavirus will be on restaurants, of course, but that isn’t stopping them from quickly trying to add options for their customers.
In a recent article from Restaurant Business Online they write that “In urban areas especially, operators are shifting to delivery and takeout and curbside pickup. That’s a trend that was growing pre-Covid and will accelerate in urban areas.”
