Given the concrete’s age, dating back to 1941, our team was tasked with addressing areas of significant failure to restore the integrity and functionality of the dock floor. This specialized project required careful planning, including lowering equipment directly into the dry dock.

Precise Concrete Removal: We meticulously cut, squared, and chipped away loose and failing sections of the original concrete to a depth of 2″-3″, ensuring only compromised material was removed.

Rust and Residue Management: Any old, rusted rebar was carefully cut out and removed, and the existing concrete surface was sandblasted to prepare it for optimal bonding.

Reinforced Concrete Replacement: Our team installed new dowels and applied a weld-crete bonding agent before placing #3 rebar at 18″ on center. We then pumped and finished high-strength 38″ concrete with fibers to create a durable, lasting repair.
