Mercedes-Benz of Palo Alto in California needed new concrete poured into their parking lot, so they worked with the DRYCO team to make it happen. As part of this 33,000-square-foot concrete pour, DRYCO provided job site supervision, field verification, and on-site safety meetings.
Concrete Parking Lot Pour
The DRYCO team started with laying down 4″ of 1/2″ to 3/4″ crushed rock. We then pumped and installed a slurry on top of a vapor barrier that kept moisture from penetrating the concrete.
Concrete Slabs
We provided three different types of concrete slabs to complete this project.
We first formed the edges and set reinforcing steel for the mat slab. We poured and finished a 24″ concrete mat slab.
Next, we formed edges and set reinforcing steel on the topping concrete slab. We poured and finished the 5″ topping slab, including saw cutting.
To finish this concrete pour, we set reinforcing wire for the mezzanine slab. We poured and finished a 5-/12″ lightweight concrete mezzanine slab. This layer included three sets of stairs and a concrete curb.
